Mohm Pull Gi
Body Conditioning Exercises
Mohm Pull Gi is a specific set of body conditioning exercises that we do in Kuk
Sool. These exercises are designed to move each of the 164 joints in the body
to their full range of motion. Mohm Pull Gi represents a basic set of exercises
with a specific goal.
It is important to understand that the goal of these exercises is not just stretching the muscles to improve flexibility. Rather, it is to condition the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints so that they adapt to doing the kinds of movements specific to martial arts. When kicking, for example, certain muscles need to be relaxed in order to achieve full extension of the kick. Mohm Pull Gi helps the muscles achieve the appropriate state of tension and/or relaxation for optimal martial arts practice. If you have other goals, such as increasing your range of flexibility or gaining strength, you are more than welcome to supplement Mohm Pull Gi with additional exercises.
Practice of Mohm Pull Gi need not be limited to the dojahng (martial art school).
Mohm Pull Gi can also be practiced at home or at the office. For example, you
can do the neck exercises at the office or the leg exercises while watching
TV at home.
